The Baron Critical Weather app is a comprehensive daily weather tool for smartphones, offering forecasts and current conditions such as radar, temperature, and surface winds. The interface is user-friendly, providing users with a 24-hour and 7-day forecast to easily access weather information for specific times and locations.

<li>3-day and 7-day forecasts available in quick view and detailed formats</li>
<li>National Weather Service county and storm-based warnings visible on the map</li>
<li>Integrated weather alerts featuring the Baron Tornado Index (BTI) rankings</li>
</ul>

The in-built weather alerts of Baron Critical Weather offer fully automated notifications directly to your phone. These alerts are easy to set up and provide specific information with up to a 15-minute lead time before a storm approaches. Users have the option to monitor up to four locations for severe weather alerts, including their phone's current location.

Alert types available for subscription include:

<li>Special Baron alerts: Storms Entering Your Area, Dangerous Storm Approaching, Twisting Storm Approaching</li>
<li>National Weather Service storm-based warnings: Tornadoes, Severe Thunderstorms, Flash Floods</li>
</ul>

One of the main features of the app is the Baron Tornado Index (BTI), which assigns a simple 1-to-10 ranking on the likelihood of a tornado within an approaching storm cell. This index offers local and precise information compared to regional alerts.
